Your future shines bright

Welcome to our apprenticeships

Welcome to our apprenticeships

Looking for a career that excites you? Our apprenticeships give you the best of both worlds. You’ll earn while you grow – gaining professional qualifications along the way. You’ll develop alongside experts, work on real projects and build skills that matter.

And if you don’t know much about our industry, don’t worry. Most people start that way – and we love fresh perspectives. We’ll give you all the support and training you need to feel confident in what you’re doing so you can focus on building a career you’re proud of.

Discover our locations

Our Early Career opportunities are based in some of the UK’s most vibrant cities – all of them are great places to live and work. Not every role is in every location, so check the pathway page to see where we have roles.

You may need to be flexible about where you work and, willing to relocate if you don’t live nearby.

Wherever you’re based, the likelihood is you’ll balance time in the office with working from home. We call this Smart Working. Three days in the office and two days from home every week is typical, but this will vary between teams. When you join us, your leader will take time to discuss this with you, and agree what works best for you, your team, and the business.

FAQs

If you’re thinking about applying for one of our apprenticeships, we’re sure you have a lot of questions. Below are the most common questions we’re asked. We hope the responses give you the information you need.

What does an Aviva apprenticeship involve?

In short, a brilliant mix of real-life experience and study. Spending part of your time working and learning on the job, and the rest studying for professional qualifications (paid for by us), an Aviva apprenticeship offers a perfect step into a new career.

What are the advantages of an apprenticeship?

There are so many! With an apprenticeship, you have the chance to gain professional qualifications while getting invaluable hands-on experience and earning a salary as you do. And as they’re open to people of all ages, they’re a fantastic way for anyone to enter a new career.

What’s the balance between working and learning?

Typically, you’ll spend 80% of your time on the job, and 20% of your working week on your studies. You’ll find details on each of the programme pages.

What happens at the end of an apprenticeship?

Our apprentices are permanent from day one. When your apprenticeship comes to an end, you’ll have professional qualifications relevant to your role, which you can continue to build on. You may decide you want to go on to study for another apprenticeship at a higher level, or you might want to take a breather from formal learning, either way we’ll work with you to help you decide on your next steps.
